Maternal Care
Neonatal and infant mortality rates for Haitians are among the highest in the western hemisphere. Approximately 56% of women who die in the Dominican Republic due to complications related to pregnancy or childbirth are Haitian immigrants.
Birthing Center Progress
At the center of our vision for Live2Serve is the establishment of a birthing center to provide maternal health services and reduce risks in childbirth to underserved populations.
We are excited to have broken ground on our birthing center project this past Spring of 2024! The birthing center will provide sponsored care to primarily Haitian women who have little to no access to prenatal resources.
Our goal is to have expecting mothers sponsored through their pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Monthly sponsorships will become a key strategy for sustaining the center once established. However, there is still work to be done! Our current need is for donations to complete the construction.
“A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.”
— John 16:21
How You Can Help
Join us in prayer.
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
